I'm not quitting, but yesterday got paused. I feel it's okay to skip the 500 words since I did 2,350 of my flashfic assignment. That'll get posted here when it's done, I just wanted to put up a note so as not to break the flow of things.

The real fic is more or less done in a first draft, which means it is messy as hell, but her highness requested Ukitake's POV on that verse, and so that's here. No, I'm not explaining the real fic, that's for later. ;) Besides, the name says it all.

Ages ago, raynos and I plotted out a dorky series of fics in which Ichigo and Chad go off to college and share an apartment. Academic, roommate, and girlfriend hijinks ensue. Today's prompt was to have Ichigo and Chad shopping together, which conveniently is where I had left off in collegefic #1. So here's an excerpt.

( Ichigo is not the best shopper in the world. )

I fail! Not 500 words. But it's past 1:00 and I need to sleep, so that's all. I think she's the only one reading anyway, and that's probably a good thing for now. ^^; This one based loosely on a "what if Rukia got a boner for Aichi" chat we had once.

( Rukia glowered past the mountain of bubbles that separated her from her tubmate. )

This challenge thing will work a lot better on days where I get the chance to work on the prompts before it's late and I'm tired and somewhat incoherent. This is a fairly loose interpretation of the prompt--sort of the opposite really, eh heh heh. Meant to make that irony explicit in the writing, but I think that got away from me...ah well.

As the Pea is my lord and master, she's giving me prompts now, much as she's been doing with tenebris at ramblinprose. (Some very good stuff there, check it out.)
